The Inward Investment Centre is the contact point for foreign investors
The Inward Investment Centre (IIC)
The IIC cooperates closely with local and national bodies to ensure that potential investors receive the most accurate information.
A team of experts, sensitive to the needs of international business ensure a high quality service.
Guide for Investors
The IIC team has prepared a complete portfolio of the investment process in the province for potential investors. The document includes a description of the requirements to start up a business (incl. companies with foreign capital), advice on activities that could be undertaken and institutions where start up companies are registered. It provides the cost and average time required to establish a company. The pack also contains information concerning licensed market activities and local tax exemptions.
The IIC's Regional Information System
The heart of the IIC's Regional Information System is a database detailing all investment opportunities in the province. It was created on the basis of questionnaires that were completed by the local authorities and companies interested in foreign co-operation. It includes information on brown and green field availability, the lands legal status, ownership, the services provided, availability and price. Corporate input into the data-base provides knowledge about the Government's privatisation process, labour employment, structure of sales, financial results, investment plans and potential investor relationships. The data is constantly updated to secure reliable information for the target group and is accessible through the Internet.
Legal and advisory services for Investors
Advice for investors is a specific service offered by the IIC. It includes assistance in finding the right location for investors, a local business partner, if necessary together with contacts to form a local supplier network. If a potential investor decides that Podkarpackie is the ideal location for their company then, in order to further support the process, the IIC will produce an "issue folder". This will contain information on the Podkarpackie Voivodship, its demographic nature, and the latest information concerning the local labour market. The "issue folder" will also include details of potential sites and factories that are considered suitable for the project.
Trade Missions
Trade missions are arranged by the Inward Investment Centre together with local authorities and support the establishment of international contacts between potential investors, the Podkarpackie local authorities and companies. The missions also provide the opportunity for IIC staff to outline the region in terms of its potential for development and the co-operative opportunities that exist. The IIC is able to organize visit programmes for potential investors in Podkarpackie by arranging a detailed programme of business meetings together with an accompanying schedule of cultural and leisure activities in the region should it be required.
