1. Reasons for establishing Podkarpackie Science – Technology Park AEROPOLIS
Location of investment areas
1) S1 Zone
Located in Jasionka and Tajęcina, in the community of Trzebownisko. Its area is approximately 70 ha. Within the zone operate companies from aviation, electro machinery, electronic and IT industries, among them: BorgWarner Turbo Systems Poland, MTU Aero Engines Polska, Goodrich Aerospace Poland, OPTeam S.A., VAC AERO, Zelnar. Another fully developed plots are still available for investors.
2) S2 Zone
Zone of Enhanced Business Activity with scientific and research background. Zone S2 neighbours Rzeszów, is located in Rogoźnica in the community of Głogów Małopolsk. It has an area of more than 47,71 ha. The operating companies in the S2 zone are e.g.: Yanko, D.A. GLASS, Eko Hybres, Polkemic, Elmat, Zelmer.
3) S1-3 Zone
Located in Zaczernie and Rudna Mała near Rzeszów - Jasionka International Airport and the existing Zone S1. Whole area of 48 ha is incorporated into the Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Mielec. This part of the AEROPOLIS has been fully equipped with the following infrastructure: roads, electrical grid, gas, sewage system, drainage and water supply. Investment plots are well prepared and already available for future entrepreneurs.
4) S3 Zone
The PSTP Academic Pre-Incubator primarily caters to Sub-Carpathian students and university graduates. The Academic Pre-Incubator has been successfully operating on the grounds of the Rzeszów University of Technology since February 2007. An area of approximately 1000 m2 was given for the use of interested individuals and contained 14 premises: 3 office rooms, 8 production/servicing premises, and 3 production halls. A modern conference room can also be found in the building. The Pre - Incubator is a place where young open people implement fresh and innovative ideas without the fear of risk usually associated with setting up your own business. The Pre - incubator allows for preliminary verification of Business ideas based on market realities. It also operates consulting activities related to law, finance, and EU funding opportunities.

Podkarpackie Science – Technology Park AEROPOLIS is one of tools used for improvement of competitiveness of Podkarpackie Region economy, implementation of innovative technological solutions and management of knowledge and capital resources. The Park will be a place where innovative ideas will be transferred into innovative technological solutions that will be implemented in business entities.
The Podkarpackie Science -Technology Park AEROPOLIS is one of ten Parks, which establishment is co-financed from structural funds within The Sectoral Operational Programme "Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises”.
Rzeszów Regional Development Agency is the institution responsible for management of the Podkarpackie Science – Technology Park.

2. Mission and Goals
The mission of PSTP is to stimulate multifunctional development of Podkarpackie Region based on the idea of innovation and technology transfer through synergic exploration of local scientific, research, economic and infrastructure potential. The transfer will be possible mainly due to co-operation with clusters and in particular with association of companies from aviation industry – the “Aviation Valley”.
3. Investment areas
The Park will facilitate starting business activity by major investors as well as small and medium enterprises and in particular the one that are innovative and launch technologically advanced products or services on the market. The Park will attract new technologies and provide conditions for taking advantage of the potential of local institutions of higher education as well as research and development centers.
The area of the Park developed during the first stage of preparation of the area for investors covers 123 ha. The total area of the Park will cover 400 ha.

- S1 Zone - adjacent to the Rzeszów - Jasionka Airport, it covers the area of 80 ha.
- S2 Zone - adjacent to the city of Rzeszów, it covers the area of 140 ha. At the moment 40 ha of the zone are being developed.
- S1-3 Zone - located in Jasionka and Rudna Mała near Rzeszów-Jasionka International Airport with the area of 48 ha.
- S-3 Zone - Academic Pre-Incubator - located on the premises of Rzeszów University of Technology.

4. Location of the Podkarpackie Science-Technology Park - advantages
The Park is located in the vicinity of Rzeszów which is a significant communication junction, located in third Pan-European East – West Transport Corridor, which consists of E30 rail way, No. 4 national road and planned A4 motorway.
The fact that the region borders with Ukraine and Slovakia makes Rzeszów an important junction which has close business connections with regions situated near the borders and with neighbouring countries.

5. Incentives for investors and benefits for enterprises located in the Podkarpackie
Podkarpackie Science-Technology Park offers:
- Exemption from real estate tax - possibility of decreasing the tax rate or complete exemption for the period of 1 to 5 years depending on the number of created workplaces (defined in resolutions of community councils),
- Improvement of competitiveness of enterprises from the Park by reducing costs of running a business e.g. cost of transport, utilizing the infrastructure, exploitation of buildings,
- Possibility of taking advantage of potential of a company located in PSTP through providing services for entrepreneurs from PSTP and entities located in the vicinity of the Park.
- Improvement of marketing image of entrepreneurs from PSTP.
